One interesting fact about me is that I lived in Japan in grade school. 

My Life Before Seminary
I grew up in rural Washington State, northern Japan, and Hyattsville, MD. I was homeschooled with my three brothers and two sisters, and our parents gave us an in-depth Catholic education. In high school I discovered an interest in filmmaking while making videos with friends. I attended the University of Dallas for two years, and while there I majored in English and was involved with the Drama department. 

What Convinced Me to Enter Seminary
After my sophomore year at the University of Dallas, my life was getting started. I had an awesome girlfriend and an internship in the film industry. But in prayer, God kept putting seminary on my mind. He wanted to offer me an even greater gift. I felt very conflicted and anxious during this time, and eventually I realized that my plans and dreams couldn't make me happy. After deciding to apply to seminary, I was totally at peace, and that peace has continued throughout the past two years. 

Other Interests
I enjoy photography, backpacking, and soccer.
