My Life Before Seminary
I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts and in 2018, I began studying at Catholic University of America, initially wanting to go into law school. In college, I had a major conversion to the Catholic faith that changed my life and all of my career goals and aspirations. I spent a few summers doing youth ministry at Catholic camps in Texas and Maryland and discovered that I had gifts in ministry and evangelization. In 2022, I graduated with a degree in Politics and Theology.
What Convinced Me to Enter Seminary
When I was in RCIA, our class watched a brief clip of an ordination Mass during our lesson on Holy Orders, and as soon as I saw the men prostrating on the altar in preparation for their ordination to the priesthood, I felt a totally unique joy and excitement in my heart that I couldn't shake. During my time at Catholic University and doing youth ministry, I met many good, holy priests who demonstrated the sacrificial love that is at the heart of the priesthood. The desire to conform to Jesus Christ in a sacramental way through His priesthood and to bring His presence and mercy to others inspired me to enter seminary.
